Celebrity Cricket Match Raises £23,000

The Brain Injury Rehabilitation Trust (BIRT) is delighted to announce that on Sunday 9th June, nearly £23,000 was raised on behalf of the charity's Eyes Alight appeal and The Teenage Cancer Trust. The money was raised through a star studded charity cricket match organised by former pupil Harry Judd at Uppingham School in Rutland. The event attracted over 2000 people.

Sarah Wins The Grand BIRT Bake Off!

It was Brain Injury Awareness Week from 13th-19th May and BIRT marked the week with the final round of the Grand BIRT Bake Off, a celebration of the skills gained by those in BIRT services. TV's MasterChef Winner (2010) Dhruv Baker judged the grand final of the 'Grand BIRT Bake Off' at BIRT's West Heath House on Tuesday 14th May and the winner was Sarah Radcliffe from BIRT's Redford Court service with her Fruit Delight cake.

Three members of staff at West Heath House are aiming to complete an Ironman Challenge, swimming, running and cycling a total of 140 miles in total to raise a target of £1000.
